Cookie Policy
Introduction
This Cookie Policy (the Policy) explains how and when Tri Tech Technology (also referred to as TTT, we, us, or our) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the TTT POS website and the TTT POS web-based back-office and point-of-sale application (together, the Platform), and how you can manage your preferences.
We use a cookie consent banner on the Platform. Strictly necessary cookies are placed automatically, but all other cookies require your active consent before they are set. You can update your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer of our Platform.
If you have any questions about this Policy, please contact us at info@tritechtechnologyllc.com.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files downloaded to your browser when you visit a website or log in to a platform. They help the site recognise you, remember your preferences, and retain information about your actions across sessions. Cookies may originate from the Platform itself (first-party cookies) or from third-party services we integrate with, such as Stripe, Intercom, and Google.
We also use similar browser-based technologies — specifically Local Storage and Session Storage — which function like cookies but store data directly in your browser rather than being sent with every server request. On TTT POS, local storage additionally supports offline operation by temporarily holding transaction and order data on your device during an internet outage, until it can be synchronised to our servers.
Cookies We Use
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function and cannot be switched off. They are set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, selecting a branch or terminal, setting preferences, or progressing through onboarding. Without them, core parts of the Platform — authentication, session continuity, terminal selection, and offline operation — cannot work. Because they are strictly necessary, no consent is required before they are set.
| Name | Provider | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session token | TTT | Session, until sign-out | Stores your encrypted authentication token, validating your identity and keeping you securely logged in across the dashboard and POS terminal. |
| User & PIN session | TTT | Session | Maintains the currently signed-in staff user and role context (cashier, manager, admin) for the active till session. |
| Branch / terminal selection | TTT | Persistent until changed | Remembers the active branch and terminal/slot so the correct menu, pricing, and till session are loaded. |
| Registration progress | TTT | Session | Preserves the state of your account registration flow so progress is not lost if you navigate away mid-signup. |
| Onboarding & setup progress | TTT | Session | Maintains onboarding and business setup progress, including branch, menu, and configuration steps, so entries are preserved between steps. |
| Offline transaction cache | TTT | Until synced | Local storage that temporarily holds orders and transactions created during an internet outage, until they are synchronised to our servers. |
Functional Cookies
These cookies are not strictly necessary, but they enable a significantly better and more personalised experience. They remember your preferences and restore your dashboard configuration between visits. If you disable them, some features may not work as expected, and your saved preferences may not be retained.
| Name | Provider | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Language preference | TTT | Persistent until cleared | Stores your selected language or locale so the interface is consistently displayed in your preferred language. |
| Theme (light / dark) | TTT | Persistent until cleared | Remembers your light or dark mode preference for the POS interface across sessions. |
| Dashboard view | TTT | Session | Preserves dashboard state, including active tabs, view modes, applied filters, and pagination position. |
| Dashboard parameters | TTT | Session | Saves report query parameters such as date ranges, sort orders, selected branches, and metrics, so your view is restored when you return. |
Analytics
TTT does not set any third-party analytics or advertising cookies on the Platform. We understand how the Platform is used through our own first-party, server-side metrics, which produce aggregated and de-identified statistics (such as feature usage and performance). This processing does not rely on tracking cookies, does not involve any third-party analytics provider, and is never used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Security Cookies
These cookies protect the Platform and its users from automated abuse, bot activity, and fraudulent submissions. They are classified as essential and placed without separate consent, as they form part of the security infrastructure necessary to keep the Platform safe.
| Name | Provider | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Security verification | Session, up to 6 months | Set by Google reCAPTCHA v3 to distinguish legitimate human users from automated bots on login, registration, and sensitive form pages. Used solely for security, not advertising. |
How We Use Cookies
- Ensure the Platform functions correctly and keeps you securely logged in during your session.
- Load the correct branch, terminal, menu, and pricing for the active till session.
- Support offline operation by caching transactions on your device until connectivity is restored.
- Recognise you when you return and restore your preferences, dashboard settings, and saved workflows.
- Preserve your progress through registration, onboarding, and setup flows.
- Analyse how the Platform is used in aggregate so we can improve performance and reliability.
- Protect the Platform against bot activity, fraudulent submissions, and credential attacks.
- Provide in-app support through the Intercom messenger and process subscription payments securely through Stripe.
We do not use cookies to deliver targeted advertising on the Platform. Marketing cookies are not set.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies are set by third-party services we use to deliver subscription payment processing and in-app support. TTT does not control these cookies; they are governed by the privacy policies of their respective providers.
Stripe — Subscription Payment Processing
We use Stripe, Inc. to process subscription payments (the fees you pay TTT for the Services). This is separate from your customers' card payments, which are handled by your own external card terminal and acquiring bank, not by the Platform. As part of its fraud detection, Stripe may set a cookie used exclusively for payment security.
| Name | Provider | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe payment session | Stripe, Inc. | 1 year | A persistent merchant identifier that allows Stripe to recognise your browser across subscription payment sessions, support fraud risk assessment, and validate transaction integrity. |
For more information, see the Stripe Privacy Policy.
Intercom — Customer Support and In-App Messaging
| Name | Provider | Retention | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Intercom device identifier | Intercom, Inc. | Up to 9 months | A persistent device identifier that allows Intercom to recognise your browser across sessions and maintain continuous support conversation history. |
| Intercom messenger state | Intercom, Inc. | Session or Persistent | Stores the state of the support messenger, including whether the chat is open, active thread references, and notification status. |
For more information, see the Intercom Privacy Policy.
Managing Your Cookie Preferences
Cookie Consent Banner
When you first visit the Platform, you will be presented with a consent notice. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies at that point, and revisit your preferences at any time using the cookie settings link in the Platform footer.
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their privacy or settings menus. Blocking all cookies will prevent you from logging in and will cause core Platform features to stop working. Guidance for common browsers:
Clearing Local Storage and Session Storage
Local Storage and Session Storage are not cleared by standard cookie-deletion actions. To remove Platform storage data, open your browser developer tools (F12), navigate to Application then Storage, and clear the entries manually, or use the Clear Site Data option in your browser's privacy settings. Note: clearing the offline transaction cache before it has synchronised may result in the loss of unsynced offline transactions.
Third-Party Opt-Outs
- Google reCAPTCHA. Managed through Google Account Settings.
- Intercom. Managed through the in-app support messenger preferences.
- Stripe. Managed through Stripe's Cookie Settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, the third-party services we integrate with, or applicable legal requirements. When we make updates, we will revise the Last Updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
